Engineering Excellence in Flow Control: The Sealed Solution

To control industrial flow, toughness and tight shutoff must always be part of the two, much more so for those serious ones whose importance involves high temperatures and pressure. For that reason, new valves were developed that would function better than the old ones. The development of the triple offset butterfly valve was a major feature step in this field, where it has been specifically developed to ensure a sealed closure and no wear, thus making it suitable for harsh service conditions in which leaking is not acceptable. Why is sealing rubbing-free? That design has high-tech valves with three angles. The first two offsets do just that; the shaft moves behind the seal and away from the centerline.
